27 Aug Siempre la misma historia
Tuesday 25th August STAGE IN THE COURTYARD OF THE CASA DE CULTURA
Stage in the Courtyard of the Casa de Cultura, 00 h
The show is a sequence of three monologues: Ella sola, Ni puta ni loca andTengo náuseas, a funny and grotesque song to freedom, from the adaptation of texts by the Italian playwright Darío Fo. Love is presented as a historical bait in which women have been trapped; this and other obstacles that life puts in front of us without us realizing it, and from which we can get out, if we have a little luck. They are all women that have been cheated, enduring, or mistaken, trying to find their happiness and freedom.
Brief history of the group
In addition to Siempre la misma historia, the company has other shows such as Los miserables, directed by Portuguese-born José García, and Las brujas, in the midst of a creative process. Using laughter and smiles to claim women’s equality, their freedom and social and professional recognition have become synonymous with the group’s identity.
