During the final wedding dress-making process, a woman discovers a great-grandmother’s obsession with ensuring that the women in the family, when they become brides, marry and have daughters, thus forming a perpetual chain. The play depicts three women from the same family who face a life-changing decision. It reflects on the social model, a society centered on “traditional” family models fostered by “hypocrisy and false morality.” The play presents two sides of the same coin: love and heartbreak. While love represents desire, heartbreak represents renunciation and hatred. “Bride Factory” addresses a current and timely issue through a critical look at the institution of marriage. While remaining a dramatic piece, it is a monologue that contains a high dose of a subtle and distinctive sense of humor.

The organization was founded in 1878 under the name “Escuela Católica de Obreros de Olot”. Leaving aside any political connotations, it can be said that what would later become the “Associació Centre Catòlic d’Olot” was born with a social purpose aimed at the working class. Initially, it began as a cultural organization, with activities such as free evening classes, but throughout its history, it has always maintained an open-door policy for any initiative, as well as welcoming any cultural, artistic, or sports group without a space to shelter. “Los Católicos” has promoted training and the dissemination of various fields of culture.
