Rosaris, purpurina i acció!

The country’s most famous pop diva, Molly Perry, has a divine revelation that leads her to return to her native village, specifically to the village monastery, to record her new music video: Rosaris i purpurina (‘Rosaries and glitter’). The work is located entirely within the filming of the video clip, between the walls of the monastery of the Virgin Mary of Sateneu de la Boira. The nuns of the order of the Association of Santa Maria live there, including obsessive Sister Raimunda, who will not make things easy for Molly and her team during the recording of the video clip, especially for her intern: Ramon. So, after calling for extras (the audience) for the music video, the different characters will realise that their views on life, art or faith clash, creating a hilarious chaos that goes beyond the walls of the afterlife.

Mare Meva is a young musical theatre company from Sant Just Desvern, which started in 2021. The company began as a musical theatre project, in which young singers and actors gathered to perform Mamma Mia! in Sant Just Desvern. After several performances of this show, they decided to form the association to continue doing projects both in the town and outside. Since then, they have worked on several projects, based both of their own creation and existing ones, including El Chipi, Mare meva, quin talent! or El despertar de la primavera (‘Spring Awakening’).
During the time it has been active, Mare Meva has obtained two grants for its projects:
– Grant from the Sant Just Desvern City Council (2022), which is awarded to cultural groups for an artistic project.
– European Solidarity Corps grant from the European Union (2022).
It is currently the resident company at the Ateneu de Sant Just Desvern, where it works on new projects every year.
