Bukowski

The play tells the story of the writer Charles Bukowski. It speaks of Charles’s childhood, his family, and what shaped him as a person. Of love and the longing for alcohol that accompanied him throughout his life. Of a thousand women and that one Linda. Of dreams and desires. Of a difficult path that was also full of surprises.

The show is based on documentary information about Bukowski’s life, his most candid poems, and the bluebird he always carried in his heart. “Find what you love and let it kill you.”

The National Puppet Theatre is one of the most famous theatres in the Caucasus region. This year it celebrates its 90th anniversary, performing eight hundred shows annually for one hundred and twenty thousand spectators. Its repertoire includes over forty shows of various genres, ranging from small finger-puppet performances to works with large rod and string puppets, which can be performed in different languages. The company frequently participates in international festivals, seven to ten times each year, from China to the USA.
